Duck coop?

Some of my ducks don't like being cooped up but others will fly in the raised chicken coops and roost with the chickens while others will go in the chicken stalls and sleep in with the chickens. The others will either jump on the milk crates that I have in the yard or fly on the peacock aviary. With winter approaching, I am getting more and more paranoid about predators coming from the woods and killing my ducks and geese. Although, I have never had a predator problem, I'm re-thinking my current set up. With that said, I have located some pallet shipping crates that I want to get. I plan on turning them over, making a door so they can go in for the night. I want to make the bedding a combination of sand and hay.

Here is a pic of the shipping crates.

in that case is there a fence around the orchard if there isnt then you can just take 4 pallets tie them together in a square and you can just move them from one place to the next

Hi, I free range my chickens, and my ducks and geese have a seperate pen...they used to be to gethr but the chickens learned how to hop over the fence. However, yyou can house them together. My ducks and geese sleep in a up side down large plastic storage containe r... i made a hole in it.

My husband made this coop for my two ducks, Cisco and Farrah, I love it and it seems they do too

I had picked up some large, heavy, free pallets with the intent of making a duck night time house I could lock BUT they are so heavy that I opted to make one out of old 2 x 6 fencing instead. I'm really happy with the way it turned out and plan to build more as my 8 ducks mature and pair off.
