Duck coughing! Help !

Is she able to eat an drink with out trouble? A video would be good. Tell us about her house what bedding you use have you noticed mold inside.

I will get a video later today, they have hay bedding, haven't noticed mold or smelled any.... they free range all day and I don't lock them up at night so there is plenty of air flow... and she eats and drink normal and she does all the other normal things of a happy duck.

You don't lock them up at night? gosh predators will like that once they find out. Well I'd say we can rule out an obstruction in the air way. Hay can get moldy if left wet for any length of time. Not saying you aren't practicing good husbandry but Just saying it can happen pretty easy. Just trying to rule out causes.

It won't let me upload the video keeps saying too large its 29 seconds I trimmed it to 12 still too large, but the house they have can be locked, I just haven't been locking it, no moisure has been in tbere but I'll give it a good clean and maybe try the shavings like when they were babies. I also don't know what a crest is ? New to ducks

Crested is when the duckling/ duck has a tuff of feathers sticking out on top of their heads. You’ll have to use you tube or Vimeo then copy and paste your video here.

You have to upload to either YouTube or Vimeo first and then copy and paste the link here.

So what I suggest you do with your pekin that is coughing is put her in a separate place away from everyone else and get Vetrx from tractor supply, or something that has niacin in it. My jumbo pekin was coughing alot and I found a duck vet nearby and I took him there and he ended up having phenomnia so I got prescribed Trimethoprim/ Sulfamethox. So if you aren't able to get to a vet that is what I would do.
