Duck days

We currently have 2 Pekin ducks (Tweedledee & Tweedledum) and a Buff (sex not known yet) who are almost 7 wks old.
When we first put them out in their pen I would go outside about 7 p.m. and herd them into their house for the night. After about 5 days the Buff would see me coming and head up the ramp and the Dee & Dum would follow. They now put themselves in the duck house every night by 7 even if I'm not out there to tell them it's bedtime. :love

What’s your feeding routine like? I think my waffle a little over weight , lol.

Thanks! Their names just kind of happened because they were/are sooo clumsy and goofy-they make me laugh a lot! I have more on the way-should be here next tues-thurs. 2 Welsh Harlequins, 1 Cayuga, 1 Buff and a Blue Swedish.

Lol I hear you , I think my neighbors probably think I’m the weirdest thing . Our backyards cconnect and we live in the burbs, not the norm.for ducks here,so I sit outside quite often talking, playing music , and laughing histerically at my ducks.

They have slowed down eating some compared to a few wks ago.
I refill their container twice a day (usually about 2/3 full) and they always have leftovers. They are on starter/grower with added Brewers yeast and they get meal worm treats every afternoon. Other treats they get once a day, usually in place of the meal worms, are grapes, watermelon and we recently found out they LOVE tomatoes!

You should leash train them and take them for walks-imagine the looks you would get then :gig
