Duck destroying eggs

Hi there, I have a duck and drake Muscovy, both were sold to me as roughly a year old. We started with about 12 eggs roughly a month ago and now we are down to 3. Is this normal. I believe the duck is destroying them, she sits on them all day and seldom comes out. The drake is very friendly and has showed no signs of aggression, so I doubt it's him. I am ok with this if it is normal for young ducks, more or less interested in finding out if this is normal, as these are my first muscovys. I do not want to incubate or move eggs, I want to maintain a natural environment
