Duck diaper

Hello,
I have a 4 year old blue Swedish mixed duck. We recently tried a duck diaper on her, but she always tried to take it off due to irritation. Dose anyone have some advice on how to fix this problem? I would like to have one onnher by fall 2017 due to us moving into a new house.
