Duck diarrhoea

Hi,
I have 8 ducks of mixed breeds, all seem to have really bad diarrhoea for a week or so now. Haven’t changed their food, they are on chicken layer mix as I have chickens also.
Any ideas? Thanks

Maybe try to put them on waterfowl food. Chicken food doesn't have the right nutrients for ducks. If you want to feed only one use an all flock feed like flock raiser. How old are they? Have you had ducks before?

Thanks for the reply. We really need to feed 1 food as they are all in together When feeding (they free range during the day).
We have had them for about a year, on chicken food all the time. Unsure of their ages as they all re-homed.
they haven’t been wormed for about 6 months, could worms cause it?

Can you post a picture of there poop? Duck poop usually has a watery consistency since they drink so much water. Adding brewers yeast to there feed or switching to all flock would help avoid future or current leg problems.

If their poops have changed and their food has not changed then logicly the food is likely not the issue. Lots of ppl feed chicken layer to adult ducks with no issue

Ducks shoot out blasts of liquid green poop at the best of times.
Is it diarrhea?
Or is it just how ducks normally are?

When my ground is frozen or baked dry they poop more solid, When they get into the mud they poop more liquidy

or if they get scared its like they are part skunk, They squirt out the stinkiest liquid poos ever

If they poop green and havent recently eaten anything green ide be concerned!

Ok maybe it’s normal, it Is just liquid. We live in Western Australia, it’s been very hot recently and they have been drinking a lot more water. Otherwise they are fine, so I’ll stop worrying
