duck dragging his butt like a dog!

Hello!
I was hoping a google search would return something, but no luck. One of our magpie/runner ducks (the drake) is dragging his butt across the lawn like a dog does a carpet! he has been doing it since yesterday and we have no idea what this means! Can anyone please help with this?!

Sure wish I could help you.

My male calls sometimes do this for a bit, but seem to grow out of it. I have never figured out what it is.


Maybe someone else will have the answer.
