Duck drinking funny

Here are a couple of pictures of him drinking. It is hard to get a good action shot.

I have been putting Vi-tal in his water, but he doesn't seem to be improving. Anything else I can do? Will he lead a normal life, or will he have to be put down? I don't mind having a "weird" duck, but I do want him to have a good quality of life.

I gave mine niacin...today about 2 weeks before I noticed it getting better. And to this day she lifts her head high to drink but no longer falls over of anything funny like that. If you didn't know she had it you'd never know anything was wrong. My understanding it is a problem in the parents when they laid the egg. So just keep up the niacin and just wait and see.

If the duck was in distress I would say cull, but it doesn't look like it is in pain. If it is eating and drinking and running around, no reason to cull. It may still pass on its own (especially if it has a neural defect), but as long as it is enjoying life, let it be.
