Hi all,
I'm as green as they come.
I've spend most of my adult life working at a desk in front of a glowing box. (A nice glowing box, admittedly, but a glowing box just the same.)
Recently, I began dreaming of a more agrarian life, and when my wife's job transferred us to HI, I got my chance. The place we're renting now has ~3/4 of an acre, and we've got free rein to do what we like.
This weekend, that included picking up 4 ducklings from a very nice lady who seems to have her own private zoo. Apparently, she took quite a liking to us city folks, and also pawned off an extra 3 ducklings and 2 chickens on us.
The ducklings are in one cage, and the chickens in another, and although they seem happy and healthy enough, I'm already having trouble sleeping worrying that they're ok on the porch right outside our window.
I'm confident that a few days reading the posts on this forum will help calm me down quite a bit, though.
