I have a 4 year old Rouren duck who lose his mate about 6 months ago, so I decided to get another duck and 1 goose. The duck (Black Swedish) and goose are 4 weeks old now and I supervise them when we are outside in the yard because the 4 year old duck (affectionately called "Mr. Biggs) has attacks the chicks several times. Will Mr. Biggs behavior continue?, should I plan on dividing by backyard in half so they do not get into fights. I thought I did my research, I ask questions to people who have a flock of ducks and geese co-existing, so I was not expecting this to happen.

Any suggestions?

I’d keeep them separate but where they can still see each other if your 4 yr old is a drake he will probably try and mate with both gosling and duck and that should not happen till at egg laying age Eventually they should become one flock it just takes time
