Any ideas if this it normal? Shipped eggs but wasn’t like this yesturday, in auto turner lay on side temp and humidity good! Can see movement so the ducks alive for now but do I need to do anything? Is it likely to survive it’s our Last one in this hatch 😪 day 17

😬😬😬 in guessing this is bad 😭
I'm not too sure. If the duckling is small, it may be fine; best case scenario, no problems or you may need to assist a little :)
I can't say for sure though as I'm not very experienced in hatching nor do I have ducks😅

I think that’s a what is called a “saddled” air sack. I would take out the turner and put it propped with the pointy end down. Maybe change the “lean” a teeny bit a few times a day, but try to let the air sack stabilize so it doesn’t detach.

Shipped eggs are prone to this, especially if you don’t let them rest point end down for a day or so before incubating.

I’ve swapped from auto turner to the bsvk up incubator which also holds them upright 😬 is there anything I should be watching out for fo you know

I think just instead of fully turning it, change the angle so like from / to \ for example. Hopefully that will keep the air sack attached but also keep anything from sticking from being too still.

Hopefully someone else can chime in - not sure when you go back to normal turning? Can’t remember.
