Please all I need help I found a duck egg on my pool cover in the dirty water on top of it while cleaning out the leaves it may have been there in the water for a day or so I took it warmed it up with body heat and now I placed it on top of my boiler in my boiler room in a plastic container with a sweater underneath it I also placed a digital thermostat in the contain to monitor the temp in the contain. Do you guys think this will work to save this duckling? Please I need help!!

It might work, but you'll have to try and regulate the humidity as well as the temperature. Did you candle the egg to see if it was developing?

Thank you for the candling reference it was helpful so maybe day 3 or 4 the yoke isn't stuck to the shell so that's good and I do see a dark spot which could be a heart? There is a air pocket in there and no blood line hopefully this works the egg is nice and warm I will continue to rotate the egg every hour and how many times a day should I mist it with water?
