duck egg hatching early

I put 2 duck eggs in my incubator labelled to hatch today (Mar 5). Two days later I thought "ahh what's a few more " and added 4 more dated to hatch Mar 7. so today my mar 5 eggs are hatching well. However I just noticed one of the eggs labelled to hatch Mar 7 just externally pipped, this is 2 days early. Is this normal? this is only my second hatch of ducks.

Early pipping/hatching is not unusual......Good luck with the rest of your hatch!!!!!

Thank you. So it has now been almost 24 hours and the pipped egg has made zero progress. Im scared to open the hole bigger incase its not ready because its early but isn't the whole point of the external pip for more oxygen? should I clear away the shell that is pipped so at least it'll have some airflow. Thanks!

ahhh it is for sure. the chicks that hatched were knocking them all around and knocked this one with the pip hole down. I quickly took the hatched chicks out and rolled that one back how it was. Thanks! Hopefully it figures it out.
