So I have two ducks that have been having fertile eggs ( know this because female went broody and sat on them) I candled them along the way and saw development but they died early on. I was wondering what is the cheapest incubator I can get. I'm not going to be hatching tons of babies just maybe 3 to 7. Also once I get an incubator should I wait for spring time to hatch some? My mom thinks I should because of winter and whatnot but I live in the south and it has never even snowed before here. I want different opinions because this is our first time owning ducks and trying to hatch some. Thank you in advance!

I have a Farm Innovators Pro Series Circulated Air Incubator with Automatic Egg Turner from tractor supply that was cheap and did well for a clutch of guinea and chicken eggs. Havent put duck in it yet. I have 3 week old ducklings in the pond right now. They seem to be doing fine but we lost 2/3 of the clutch early on.. Not sure if it was the turtles, predators, freezing at night or what. I think if you can keep them contained, you are fine hatching in the winter.... just gradually move them into outdoors once older. We are down to 30s at night and the little fuzz balls are doing fine with momma. Switching species, the 5 week old chicks, finally last night moved into the main coop from the ground nursery coop.
