duck egg? help!

My cat brought me a duck egg and it was still alive! I started researching how to take care of it because I'm disabled and home 24/7, and when I candled it I estimated it was around day 9-12! Currently, I think I'm between day 26-29, and the duckling stopped moving maybe two days ago now. I don't have an incubator but I'm using a box with tinfoil, a cup of hot water and a hot water bottle to keep the humidity up! The duck hasn't pipped yet and I can't hear chirping... Is this normal? Should I hold on a few more days or should I assume this poor bubba is a lost cause? I don't want to toss and risk they're alive. Here's a picture I took yesterday while candling, and it hasn't changed today. Any help appreciated!!

There's no point of a wildlife rehab center if it died, and it appears as it has. That egg would be nearly totally filled up if it was due to hatch. You did good to get it that far though!

If you have your doubts, it's not going to hurt a couple more days, but they usually hatch around Day 28.

i do but its far away and i can't drive + isn't on a train route from here, so i have to wait until one of my parents or friends has an open window for me to take it down there. until then, i'm taking care of it.
It's been gone for atleast a week now, sorry. You're not hearing peeping, you're hear gas escape.

damn :( okay, i'll try and go a few more days, but if I don't hear anything in a couple of days I'll bury them. I had a feeling they'd died, but I've been holding out because I have no idea what day I'm at, just a vague guess based on the candling I did on the 15th of August (see below) It was moving a lot until maybe two days ago, and I haven't heard or seen it move since then

I obviously can't post videos but it's not very clear in the photo there was a suuuper clear network of veins, and the baby was swimming like no one's business!!
