Duck egg laying question!

I saw my mallard hen who has never laid an egg flatten herself out so the drake could mate with her multiple times yesterday. How long do you think it will be before she lays an egg?

My runners started that kind of behavior about a month before they started laying - it took some a couple of months afterward to begin.

My khaki campbell started about 2 weeks after I first saw them do it, and they did it in the water too, I've noticed that that's about the only place they mate!!!!! in the water.

Is she getting free choice oyster shell or other source of extra calcium?

my girl Omlet just layed her first egg and she is 11 months old ..her flatteing out has been going on for several months and had nothing to do with her egg laying lol
