Duck egg laying

So i finally got a ducky friend for Giblet, She's a three yr old girl, maybe some type of pekin cross. I've had her home for about 6 days, and i'm wondering when I'll see an egg! do some breeds of ducks stop laying in the fall and winter? how much time do you think she needs to settle in before she lays?

Depending on what she is crossed with, she might not lay until spring.

Some ducks take a long time to settle in...a month or two isnt uncommon, its like that with most other poultry breeds too.
