I have 2 Muscovy ducks and 11 hens . The ducks are about 7-8 mos old. I get about 6-7 eggs a day. For the past couple of weeks I get about 1 egg a day that is slightly larger with a slightly thicker shell. When I crack it, the white is thicker and tends to kind of stick to the shell a little. What do you think?? Sound like a duck egg?.

Yea its probably a duck egg they are kinda greasy feeling and the membrane is thicker. Also the yolk is bigger and not as much white

I was going to say it was a chicken egg if it was in the boxes, but then I remembered that not everyone has nest boxes that are raised. If you have the boxes on the floor it does sound like it is a duck egg. Ducks usually make nests in the ground and do not jump up into raised boxes. Do you have a pic?

Being that the egg is sticking to the inside of the shell and the thicker shell I'd guess duck too.

This is the only pic i could find but anyway Goose egg on far left, Muscovy egg in the middle and chicken egg on the right. Scovie eggs are shiny and slick feeling.
