Duck egg question

So diane has been laying for over a week now. Every night. She has an eye injury and we are bringing her to the vet but set up a temporary separated housing for them so they could see each other and not be in the same area. She laid an egg this morning, instead of at night (which is out of the ordinary) and it was smaller than the size of a ping pong ball... which is a lot smaller than usual. Could this have to do with the stress of being separated or a new location? Or maybe her eye injury ? Just curious, I feel like I get better info here than from the vet so I figured I'd ask here too

Stress can definitely affect their eggs, If she appears to be acting normally, I wouldn't be too concerned. Have you opened the egg?

No I haven't opened it,
