Duck egg question

So I got my first egg last week. How often do new layers, lay eggs? What should I be expecting?

Pretty much daily when they are laying.

Mallard as mallard type domestic or the same kind as wild mallard. But difference in egg production.

Put simply, Mallards won't always lay in the nesting box, actually, I've never had a Mallard use a nesting box.
