I didnt candle my duck eggs last time so i didnt get to see what the quitters looked like.

Sorry if the picture quality isnt the best, my camera didnt want to focus properly 🙄

Is this guy looking like a quitter? It would be some where between 14 days and 18 days.... i dont think i could see any movement, but there is still some branching off spider type veins 🤷‍♀️

When they quit the veins go away
I still see veins
I wouldn’t throw it yet
There has been times I don’t see movement then I try later and it’s there
Thank you 🙏 i thought id ask for opinions because i do know what chicken egg quitters look like and what it looks like when the veins go away, and i did still see veins but it was looking kind of blobby and different to the others, but it is also a different age to the others 😅😂 i candled it yesterday and today and it looked the same yesterday so at least the veins didnt disappear over night

I can’t say for sure but if I see veins the egg stays
With lighter coloured babies you can see in better and things do look a lot more weird
With darker ones I find it much harder to see in

Nothing is 100% sure until they hatch or dont hatch 😅😂 i will keep an eye on it and the veins ☺️ if the veins go, it goes. i have 2 dark green olive egger eggs under a broody at the moment that are due to hatch shortly, i havent been able to see in them at all the whole time so im gambling with those 2 as well 😆

I had an egg I thought was a quitter that ended up making it. The duck does seem to have neuro issues but he’s doing l right at 8 months old. I wouldn’t throw that egg out yet.
Well done! 🙏 i have heard a few stories around about "quitters" that have ended up hatching! The old saying "dont count your chickens before they hatch" (or ducks in this case) definitely makes sense 😄🤣
