My girl duck has just started laying and the eggs are coming inconstantly. Couple of things; She keeps laying her egg in the swimming pool. Well, she's about 50/50 on where she lays.
She is laying in the duck house too. Some of the eggs look normal and some look thin and brittle. Then there is this one egg. Not all in the shell. I feed chicken layer, and they (chickens & duck) get oyster shell. Anything thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks

That one we found in the pool.

Mine always changed where they layed their eggs too, and I did find a few in the pool. They never did settle on just one spot. I would expect her shells to become more consistent with time. If she is allowed to free range at all during the day, that will help. :)

It is normal for a hen when she starts laying or is almost ending her laying years to have eggs like this. Her body i getting used to egg production. The shell with become more thick over time. I wouldn't worry about it too much
