I have 2 silkies, 1 polish and 1 Orpington. They are all hens. I really want a baby duck but do not want to have them inside the house. I would be getting a duck egg in the spring, and buy then, my hens will be laying eggs. Is it possible to slide the duck egg under a broody hen and they will raise it as there own? Thanks. Also can the duck live with the chickens in the coop?

I saw a post on here somewhere and they had a broody hen hatching ducklings!
As for the ducks living in the coop, my 2 live in the same coop as the chickens and they seem to be fine. My sucks were not babies when I got them though.

They can be in the same coop just fine. Some will accept it and some won't, it just depends. Slip it in all sneaky like if it's the same age as the other eggs and see if she accepts (not just started when the others are a few weeks along)
