Its time to turn on the autoturn on my incubator. Ive tried to search for if the standard setting of every 120 min for 15 sec is ok for duck eggs ? I have 12 in total muscovey and runners ,
Thanks !

The number of turns sounds fine as long as the turner holds larger eggs. Just want to make sure you are aware that muskovy eggs take 35-37 days and runners take about 28. Also muskovy eggs don't do well with high humidity before lock down.

Thank you for your reply. Yes I have read about the humidity. And even though the instruction manual said to put water in the incubator right away I did not because of this. I turned it on 2 days ago. BUT as you can see on the picture it says humidity is only 8 % !! Wich is very insane ! Humidity outside in the room is 41 % . So maybe I need to fill those channels with water anyway .

Have you already independently verified the accuracy of the readings (temp and humidity)? Incubator displays can be inaccurate.

I've had the best results hand-turning Muscovy eggs three times a day. I also mist and cool the eggs per Pete55's hatching guide.

Best wishes for a great hatch!

Yes Ive read about the humidity before lockdown so I wanted to do it dry the first week and then re-weigh the eggs to see if the had lost the correct amount. And then go from there. BUT the incubator said 8 % 🤪 . I put a hygrometer in there wich said 20% and then I panicked and decided to put a small amount of water in it. I am thinking between 35-40% is good no ? Outside is about 46%

Thanks for the link to Pete55 . Have you seen a post this nice and matriculate about muscovy eggs ? This is about goose eggs.

You'll need to calibrate your separate hygrometer, it may not be accurate
