I know I've read duck eggs are tricky, but all 15 of mine pipped; 2 died during the hatch and one whose air sac was on the side had a deformity and died a week later. It may have just been beginner's luck, or the fact that the mother duck had incubated them halfway through their gestation before leaving the nest. I had no idea when they were due to hatch, so the timing of lockdown and upping the humidity was based on when the chicks were due, and it turned out to be the right time for everybody.
