I have some duck eggs that have been incubating for 5 days. When I candled the eggs they were clear aside from the where the yolk is. I couldn't see any veins or anything else. Are they a dud or should I leave them in a little longer before tossing?

I would leave them in the incubator longer especially as they are duck eggs with a longer incubation period than chicken eggs. Sometimes the development can't be seen at the first candling but then can be seen at the second. I've had questionable eggs before that I wasn't sure about but left them in and then seen good development at the next candling. If I hadn't left them I would have thrown away good viable eggs.

I would say leave them, candle again in a week's time :) By then you should see some pretty definite growth.
