We candled our 17 duck eggs in a still air Little Giant incubator, and it looks like some of the eggs are internally pipped already. In a few hours it will be day 24. Is it too early too put them into lockdown if they are already starting to pip?

ETA: I was wrong, it's actually a few hours into day 24.

I'd say it is, and besides those chicks are likely to have issues and need extra care if they're hatching several days early.. I read on one thread on here someone had ducks hatching an entire week too early. Most died, and they had to keep the remaining two in the shells for days until they reached their hatch date and were actually ready to be out in the world.
