As a duck develops and bigger in the egg, does the egg start to feel heavier? They lose moisture and I would think the egg would start to feel lighter. I know that they are definitely developing because when i candle them there is the black shadow moving and veins but should the egg feel heavier?

Mine do "feel" heavier the longer they are in the incubator. My logic is- that although over time they can loose up to 14 % of the original wieght in moisture- As the duckling grows the weight distribution in the egg changes. Im sure if I put them on the scales they would have decreased- But they do feel different in the hand.

I think they are still alive but now it is day 16 and they are starting to feel lighter all of a sudden..... why is this?
