Hi,

I have duck eggs and we areon day 30. No internal pip no yet.
Do I need to help? This is my first time!
I have a home made incubator & the humidity has fluctuated. I’m worried the membrane is too thick?

I’ve added an image- what am I actually looking at? Is it the beak? ( it’s actually a video but it’s don’t know how to upload).

the ducks are Indian runner.

The angel of the photo is not the easiest to determine. To upload the video, post it to youtube and share the link here. try to take photo from the top of the air sack, or see if you can get an angle that will show more. Maybe :D someone else can tell you, with this photo, for me it's a bit trickey!

I would just let it be and keep an eye on it. We do know its alive so it should be able to at least internally pip. I am not a hatching pro, or canceling :) But I would jus keep an eye on it's normal that they will take a few more day then normal, so don't get too worried yet. @Eggcessive

I haven’t used a homemade incubator but I did buy one without a fan (ugh!) and hatched chickens once. I remember I had to rotate those suckers like 2-3 times a day. It had a mechanism though that would rotate the eggs without me having to open the incubator. Have you opened the incubator a lot? That and the humidity fluctuation I’m guessing might be causing it... I’d give it more time like previous posters suggested and try not to open it.
