travelers rest, sc
how long can you have a duck egg out before you put it i the incubator? have one that i had one on the counter for about 3 weeks before putting it in the bator. is that too long, or should i just throw it out? i candeled it today, has been in for 3 days now, looks like i see some veins. not for sure if it is possible. if the egg was out too long or not. please anyone help!!!

From Storeys Guide to Raising Ducks "Ordinarily, the shorter the storage period, the better the hatch, a few eggs that have been held 4 weeks or longer may hatch, but for good results the general rule is not to keep eggs for more than 10 days before setting them."
