Duck eggs peeping

I have two hens who have been sitting on eggs...they've started hatching in the last week and several have died, I think the girls are fighting over them...we have two eggs that are peeping and have cracked. Can we take them from the nest and then still hatch safely? So far only two ducklings have made it and we don't want to lose anymore.

Given the fact that the two hens have been unsuccessful, I would take the eggs and put them in an incubator. This is not an uncommon problem in shared nests. More than one hen setting on eggs has always resulted in low % hatches for me.

Yes, you can take them and hatch them but you will have to raise them yourself with heat and be their Mother...
