Duck eggs

Since adding my newest female, the drake only seems interested in mating wiv 1 of the 3 ducks. Wil this b a problem?

I'd keep an eye on the one he is most interested in just in case he starts pulling out feathers. They don't do it on purpose but hang on while breeding and if he is only breeding her eventually her feathers can get so sparse he begins holding onto skin which you don't want it to get that bad. Just might have to give his fav a bit of time out and give him a chance to bond with the other two females.

The only way I can giv her a rest is by keeping her on her own. And didn't think that was good to do. Any advice is welcome as this is all new to me

Well you can put her in a separate pen with one of the other females so they can still see the drake and him and the female with him them. That is usually how most do it if one of the girls is getting pretty roughed up by a drake. Maybe let him get bonded with one female then rotate the other one out and keep it up till the popular one has had a good break. Then try putting all of them together again and hopefully he'll spread the loving around.

They are rough duck sex isn't for the faint of heart. Even if a drake has a harem he is still rough on his females with mating it's just the nature of ducks. But the more he has the less likely one will end up used to the point of feather loss down to skin and other injuries. The females seem to be able to handle the roughness drakes hand out as long as they don't get it over and over again continually.
