@Emily Colwell I’d really advise reading through the Guide to Assisted Hatching that I linked above, and at the very least make a safety hole so baby can breathe properly.

Just because a bird sits doesn’t mean they are fully warming and starting
If a bird in incubating
I would just leave the egg be
I had a broody duck sit 75% for 5 days before she fully started to sit on her clutch
