do ducks lay eggs like chickens do, I mean without a male, and everyday or so?

Yep

No drake needed. The amount of eggs largely depends on the breed of the ducks. My ducks lay a lot but probably not as much as an orpington or buff.... Mine are Rouen, Welsh Harlequins, black Swedish and pekin.

EDA Mine never lay in a nest box on the ground. They prefer to let them roll under the coop, wedged in the mud by the pools, dropped wherever they happen to be running too, in the tiny crawl space between the coop and chain link fence...well you get the picture
