duck eggs

I have 2 female ducks and their eggs tend to have an earthy taste to them. I scramble them with onion and garlic and they taste good and of course they are excellent for baking and my dogs love them raw. It is so muddy where I have them but I don't want to put down rock (it can't be comfortable for them to walk on) and also they just LOVE pecking in the dirt which makes it worse. I was thinking of putting down an area of sod. I also give them kale and peas every day and they just love it, I also give them their feed. Any suggestions on improving the egg taste?
