Duck Feathers

Hi everyone! We have a male duck as a pet, he lives outdoors in his own coop. Over the last few weeks I notice change to the color of his feathers as well as these tiny feathers coming out from his head and neck. This is my first time owning a pet duck so I would like to know if this is normal or maybe something else going on?
