Duck feed

I work at a grain elevator where we make feed and carry feed. Someone told me that ducks cannot eat crumble feed that they must eat pellets. I started my ducks on ground feed and never had any issues. Has anyone else heard of this before?

No, I haven't. I think either works just fine.

I'm researching ducks and just saw that on a site last night. Something about crumbles getting stuck in their beaks and they can't eat it as well.

Hmmmm... I've never heard that before.

Mine have eaten pellets and crumble both and never had a problem.

I feed crumble only to ducklings, everyone graduates to pellets eventually.. mostly because pellets are able to be picked up off the ground if they ducks drop them.. I gave the adults crumble, and anything they dropped just stayed on the ground.

Same here. I really don't like crumble for any adult bird because of it being so hard to pick up.
