i have 2 ducks as pets, one is almost 7 months and the other is almost 5 months. I bought a large bag of duck pellets and I don’t exactly know how much to feed them. I give them half a cup of duck pellets at 10 am in the morning when I wake up and half a cup of duck pellets at 5:30 pm. Am I doing anything wrong or is that perfect? The 7 month old is a full Muscovy drake and the 5 month old is Muscovy cross Indian runner ( unknown gender ). I’ve read certain breeds need certain feeding types so I just hope I’m doing good enough. Please tell me if I’m doing anything wrong and how much I should feed them

Every situation is different, especially if they have access to forage for food on their own. My ducks eat about a cup of feed each per duck per day. Weather, age, whether or not they are laying, how much they forage, male vs. female, weight, whether or not they are growing, what type of food and treats you give them, will all impact how much they need to eat on any given day. This is why many people free feed. You can try varying amounts until you find an amount where there is just a little bit leftover at the end of the day, and then split this into separate feedings if you wish. If they are maintaining healthy weight and feather condition, you are on the right track.
