my new duckling is only a few days old. So far it wobbles around, its legs look like they were up by the head in the egg, is this normal? They seem really far up to the head and it seems like the duckling doesnt use them much. is this normal, will the legs straighten out in a bit?

At only a few days old, there is a good chance they will straighten out. Just in case you didn't know, waterfowl food usually has extra Niacin which helps a duck's leg development. Tractor Supply starter is supposed to have enough Niacin in its formulation for water fowl, but other chick starters might need supplementation with ground niacin tablets or brewers or nutritional yeast.

Can you post a picture of your little one??? Also check the hocks- do they have a full range of movement ??? Just be careful and dont force the joint in trying to move them, especially if it seems to cause any pain, it sounds like it could have an issue if the legs are up that high.
