First please know that my two Peking ducks are my babies and I love them and spoil them to the core. I have one male and one female Peking (Mr. Waddles and Daphne) and I noticed that the male has been limping a bit but assumed it was due to him being slightly overweight, but today when I was out with them in the yard after work, he was sleeping with his foot out and I was able to take a picture of what I saw on the bottom of his foot. Broke my heart instantly because I haven’t been able to see it until today but from what I have read it seems to be Bumblefoot. I am a nurse and I understand the seriousness of infection, so I don’t know if this is something I can try to treat at home or what options I have since I don’t have a vet that could treat something like this near me. Please help - any suggestions are appreciated and also if there is any tips on how to possibly keep a duck somewhat still or calm during any treatment. They Love me to death and follow me everywhere and the thought of causing either harm or pain is hard for me to even think about :( he is eating and drinking water as normal, just simply walking with a slight limp despite the size of the wound, in my opinion.

I know that @Miss Lydia will tell you to separate him and put him in a warm epsom salt bath to soak for a bit. Don't let him drink the water because it acts as a laxative. Keep it and him clean and dry. No swimming and mud diving. I'm sure she'll be on in a few to help you more. Oh, a picture is a must! Please!
