Duck first eggs!!! Woohoo!!

My Pekin just laid her first eggs! She laid them at 4:00 in the afternoon. The first was double yoked and really thin shelled. The 2nd looked good, nice shaped, thick shelled and beautiful. Is that normal for them to lay 2 at a time and one being thin and double yoked and that late in the day?

And should I put the good egg in one of the nests she made to try to train her where to lay. And can u incubate double egged yolks ( if she lays more) ? Oh man this is exciting!!

Double yolked eggs usually don't make it. but Congrats on the eggs, her egg making equiptment is getting the kinks worked out, so soon she'll be laying 1 egg a day . and put the good egg in the nest so she'll get the idea.
