Duck Friendly Termite Solutions

Hello, termites have started building their homes on our home so we're looking into termite control options, but also want to ensure it's safe for our free ranging ducks in case they come into contact with any products.

Any ideas? (We live in South Georgia if that makes a difference)

Hi, when my folks go to Florida for the winter, they're always met with termites. While the other folks in the area call exterminators who encase their homes, they use this. They only have a little dog and just keep her in for the day. It's not saying it's pet safe, so I'd put up a fence around areas the ducks would have access to it.

Around ducks, I personally would first try the pet-safe food-grade diatomaceous earth, which can kill them, but it's slow, and only gets the ones that walk through it. I'm doubting it would eradicate them in a timely manner, but it would eventually. Here's an article about it.

Maybe someone else has a better trick or a product idea for you.
