Duck gasping for air!!! UPDATE!!!

I noticed today that one of my Mandarin duck hens was gasping for air. Her crop is empty.

Could this be gapeworm? I have her seperated now. How is gapeworm treated?

I got some ivermectin, the oral kind, and gave her a tiny dose. I hope she is okay.

I really hope that she lives. She was fine yesterday, then this morning shes gasping for air, coughing, and has all the symptoms of gapeworms.

SHE IS GREAT! Like a whole new duck. Not gasping or shaking her head or sneezing. She is perfect.

The ivermectin must have worked. She was even making the mandarin duck noises (like a cooing).

Im so glad she is okay. I will still keep her seperated from the others for a couple more days to make sure shes fine.
