Duck gender

Hi! My husband and I go back and forth on if this sweet Rouen is a male or female. We had ordered 2 from a hatchery, one of each and sadly one of them passed suddenly a couple days after we received them. Now we don't know which one passed and which one we have now. My husband really hopes we have the male. I'm leaning towards female. It is 8 weeks this week. Thanks for your help!

At that age, it is easy to differentiate male from female.
Males sound raspy, females QUACK.

there is a distinctive QUACK. Not what my husband wants to hear that his buddy passed. I figured she was a she. Thank you for confirming!! I guess I will look for a male for him. Lol
