Duck has infection on neck !!

I would only recommend keeping two males with your nine females, at the most. How do your other hens look, mating damage wise?
A few of them are missing some feathers on their necks and backs but most of them are basically untouched. And I’ll try to give her 6 then, it’s just that one of the boys that I’m willing to rehome (i simply can’t part with my 2 older boys) is missing some feathers and I’m not sure if it’s from my female muscovy because she doesn’t put up with being mates with, or the other males, so I’m hesitant to leave him alone with them. He’s huge though so he might be fine and I’m hoping that if there were no girls in the picture he would be fine.

Yeah I’m considering getting rid of all 6 of the young drakes and just keeping the originals, but one of the young ones got a bunch of his feathers plucked out and I’m assuming it’s from the other drakes so Im nervous to leave him alone with them. Do you think he would be fine if there were no females to fight over ?
there's no telling if that will be the case. You'd just have to try it and watch them carefully.

The person he went to had posted right here on BYC too. She happened to live about an hour away and it just worked out great for everyone! Her drake had died and her duck was so lonely and depressed. Now they are in love!
Yeah I guess I’ll give it a try and if they terrorize him too much I’ll just take him back.

And aw that is so sweet !! I’m so glad it worked out for him and his new owner’s duck :)
