In the Brooder
Today is day 27 of incubation I have 7 duck eggs and all were candled on day 25 looking great and seeing lots of movement. They are in lock down and I am trying to be hands off and patient but I am nervous that they are not progressing. This is my first time incubating and I am just so very nervous. I know it takes time, but online gives so many different answers on temp/humidity and whether or not to intervene.
I am mainly just curious if I can candle them to make sure they are still alive and okay. Most people seem to say hands off while others say its essential in making sure they are not running out of air.
They are shipped duck eggs and some of the air sacs looked a little bit wonky(saddle sac) so after researching decided to put them into a cut down egg carton. Should they still be in that for hatching or laying on their side?
I just don't know what to do or who to listen to. I want to do right by these little ducklings. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
