DUck hatched after 31 days? :O

Right well i have been hatching ducks for years and they have all come out a day befor or after when they were supposed to but this year i had 25 eggs in the incubator! I went to school one day and it was all fine then i got home and the incubator was off due to a power c ut and the eggs were stone cold! But i took them to my aunties and set up the incubator there! But when the day came for them to hatch out they didnt come out...so i thought i will give it a week and 31 days after setting them 7 came out? I was so happy and shocked i dont understand how this could have happened any1 else got any advice?

Chilling of eggs during the incubation period can result in a delayed hatch. Cause and effect you have just witnessed.

Yup, chilling causes slower growth and late hatches! Hope they're healthy and doing well despite being late!

I agree and it depends on which ducks. Muscoy ducks take longer 35 days I think
