I sure understand hopefully there will be someone who would take this little one. Please let us know.

I hope something can be done. There's always the chance it can live, regardless of whether it can be fixed. So shockingly enough this little one hatched easily on its own without any assistance. The bones are side by side and not stacked together with the tendon completely off to the side. If I could just get the bones to line back up, slip the tendon back and wrap I would. I’m just afraid it would be far too painful for it. I’m so sad because it’s so healthy and beautiful otherwise. Its a runner duck and has the most beautiful coloring.
I’m in north county San Diego. This baby is so sweet and wants to live. I’ve moved them to the brooder to see how they would do and they are hopping around on one leg, eating and drinking just like everyone else.I hope something can be done. It's just dependant on quality of life- a special set up, or special tools like a wheelchair could help.
It could even be made out of recycled parts, I'm sure. It wouldn't be easy, but anything is possible.
Where abouts are you located? You might even be able to find help on here, if you wanted to rehome.
I have a duck just like this. I just take OwFred wherever he wants to go and to eat and drinks rn swim with me holding him up. I let him lay in the grass and move him a lot during the night then bring him inside at night. I wish I knew how to help him and your duck too. I tried making wheelchairs but I’m not very much a handy person so maybe look into that or find an exotic vet that may help you. There are wheelchairs for them just expensive. This poor little baby hatched with its leg bent backwards. I don’t think it’s a slipped tendon because I can’t get the leg to manipulate at all. Has anyone else ever had this happen? Was it treatable?

I think that is a good idea, I see a lot of people with disabled ducks/poultry that post on craigslist needing a buddy for them hopefully there are some in your area. I'll be praying for this little oneI wish I had the time for that, it’s just not realistic for me at this point in my life. I have 4 kids, lots of animals, and can barely keep up as it is. It definitely would be a consideration if my kids were older and I didn’t have so much going on.
If I had the funds I would take it to the vet to see if they could help. Unfortunately, I’m still trying to pay off thousands from previous visits. I might post in some local groups to see if anyone has the ability or resources to help it.
