Duck hen problem

I acquired a pair of ducks two days ago. Due to the distance etc they were sight unseen. Attaching photo of hen. Is this an egg bound problem or ascites? The sag/pouch is near dragging the ground. I called the breeder and she said it was due to the trip and not laying her egg that day. I disagree that this is a "it happened today" problem...

Does she act like she needs to lay vent pulsing straining acting off at all?

My Buff Orpington females just about drag the ground during laying season normal for them.
