Duck House bedding

I have a wooden floor duck house. I was wondering what do people use as being to cover the floor. I have been using pine shaving so far and would love to know what others have tried or use.

I like pine shavings, and straw combo, leaves in fall, mulched grass in spring/summer. I have a dirt floor, though. Wood is tough to keep in good condition with ducks.

In my enclosed duck house where they sleep at night I have vinyl tile over wood, then I put wood shavings on top of that. In there run it's half straw covered dirt and half rounded pebbles.

Straw in the coop, wood chips (Not Flakes) in the run.

We just recently our stall mats in as the flooring for the ducks and then a little hay for comfort. Then I can just spray it off! And the stall mat is comfortable on their feed.
